WORKSHOP: Measurement Uncertainty -- What it is, Why it Occurs, and How to Accommodate it
In this workshop Henry Alexander will examine what is meant by measurement uncertainty. He will discuss the physical and mechanical reasons why measurements are uncertain and illustrate by means of examples how to estimate the magnitude of uncertainty associated with a measurement in order to account for the uncertainty of measurement results.
