PRESENTATION: The Metrology of Golf
On January 1, 2010 a new rule went into effect from the USGA about the configuration of the grooves on golf club faces.  In 2005 they announced that they intended to make this change because the technology advancements that manufacturers had made were impacting the style of play in professional tournaments.  Mahr Federal has created tools to allow the manufacturers to measure the golf club faces and determine conformance to the new standard.  This presentation will focus on this new rule and include some background on why the change was made by the USGA, what the change really entails, and how it can be measured.
